Patrick S. Ryan grew up in Grand Junction and Denver, Colorado.
He started PSR lawfirm, llc in 2004 in order to deliver focused, personalized service to a limited client base.

Patrick has lived abroad for eight of the past twelve years in many places, including Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Germany, Switzerland.

Patrick holds a BA, magna cum laude and a MBA from the Monterey Institute of International Studies (affiliated with Middlebury College); a JD with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin; an Executive Master of European and International Business Law with distinction from the Universität St. Gallen in Switzerland; and a Ph.D. from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium. His Ph.D. dissertation was an interdisciplinary work involving law, economics and engineering, and dealt with the regulation of emerging wireless technologies and the difficulty that government has in keeping up.

Patrick has written many other things on topics ranging from technology, to international director and officer liability, and the controversial "McDonald's Coffee Spill Case."

From 1994 to 2001 Patrick was a Director at Tetra Tech Communications and the founder and managing director of TTC Global, GmbH, its former subsidiary in Germany (a position that he retained while in law school). From 2001-2002, Patrick was a Director in the engineering and deployment department of Broadnet, SPRL, a former subsidiary of Comcast Corporation. Patrick is fluent in French, German and Spanish, and has a basic working knowledge of Dutch and Portuguese. He has published in several of these languages.
