PSR lawfirm believes that the law should be accessible to citizens, and that people should be able to understand and defend their rights without having to hire lawyers as translators. Unfortunately, this is not always possible; and consumers confronted with legal matters should consult with attorneys in order to fully understand their rights.
However, today's technology has placed a wealth of legal resources and information at the public's fingertips. In this area we have posted a number of links and resources that are of personal interest to PSR lawfirm, LLC, and other resources that help non-lawyers understand the law.
- The Colorado Judicial Branch has a great self-help website for non-lawyers to obtain lots of information on law and the legal process in the state.
- If your claim is for less than $7,500, you might consider Small Claims Court. Here, you can pursue your case without the expense of hiring an attorney. The State has published a nice handbook for non lawyers that discusses the process.
- NOLO is the leader in the "do it yourself" law movement, and on their website you can research many topics in plain language. If you think that you might have a legal claim, you should consider researching it here first before contacting an attorney so that you can save on your legal expenses.
